Saga the Bard Terms of Service
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Saga the Bard is operated by Corey Buckner, operating as Saga the Bard ("Saga", "we", "us"). Contact: support@sagathebard.com.
These terms describe your use of Saga's website, account features, and Discord service. Please read them before using Saga. If you do not agree, do not activate or use the service. Participation in someone else's voice channel does not by itself authorize that person to waive your legal rights.
1. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's minimum age for your country and any higher age required by applicable law. Saga is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parental permission does not waive a minimum-age requirement. A person purchasing a subscription must be legally able to enter the purchase agreement, or have the purchase made by an authorized parent or guardian.
Use is subject to applicable law and Discord's applicable terms and rules. Saga is an independent service, not a service operated or endorsed by Discord.
2. What Saga does
Saga listens to an informed Discord voice-channel group, transcribes speech, selects music, and generates session recaps. Availability and results depend on audio quality, supported features, Discord, and other service providers. Transcription, music selection, and AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. Review a recap before relying on it or sharing it as an accurate account of events.
Saga is an entertainment service, not an emergency service or a source of professional advice. Do not rely on Saga to detect danger, monitor anyone's safety, or contact emergency responders.
3. Notice to voice participants
Before inviting Saga, tell everyone in the voice channel that their speech will be processed for music selection and recaps, explain where the recap will be posted, and obtain any consent required by applicable law. This includes participants who are not subscribers or approved users. Ensure new arrivals receive the same notice. Do not use Saga for covert monitoring or continue processing someone contrary to their applicable rights. Remove Saga or move the conversation to a channel without Saga when needed.
Approved-user permissions control who may call on a subscription; they do not limit whose speech Saga hears after joining a channel. Channel members may be able to read, download, and forward recaps. Check Discord channel permissions and avoid sharing passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information with Saga.
Our Privacy Policy explains processing, service providers, retention, and privacy requests.
4. Accounts and shared access
Sign in through Discord and protect your Discord account. A subscription belongs to its individual subscriber, not to a Discord server. Subscribers may authorize up to five other users through the account website, for six people total including the subscriber. Subscribers may revoke access and approve replacements; there is no lifetime limit on replacements. Pending invitations do not reserve a place. Approved users share the subscriber's allowance; they do not receive separate allowances. Share invitation links only with intended recipients.
Only one Saga session may use a subscription at a time. A server also cannot run multiple Saga sessions simultaneously. Subscribers manage subscription payments and approved access through the website. Contact support if you believe an account or invitation has been misused. Do not resell or publicly distribute subscription access without our written permission.
5. Subscriptions
Saga Basic costs $5 USD per month and includes 20 hours; Saga Pro costs $9 USD per month and includes 40 hours of metered session use per monthly subscription period. Applicable tax is added at checkout.
Checkout states the price, currency, applicable taxes, billing interval, and included usage before purchase. Previous test checkout and test access are not real payments or a promise of free or permanent production access. Any trial or promotion must be expressly described in the applicable offer; these terms do not create a free-trial entitlement.
Basic provides 20 hours and Pro provides 40 hours of metered Saga session use per monthly subscription period, shared with approved users. Usage is session time, not the amount of speech transcribed. Remaining hours and period dates appear on your account page. Unused hours do not carry into the next period. Saga does not automatically charge for usage beyond the included allowance. Access depends on the subscription being eligible and having available time; a subscription does not promise unlimited use or unlimited simultaneous sessions.
A paid monthly subscription renews automatically at the disclosed price and interval until canceled. You can manage and cancel renewal through the account website's billing management link. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period; remaining eligible access continues until then, subject to usage limits and these terms. Contact support if you cannot access the cancellation controls. Deleting Discord or simply leaving a voice channel does not cancel a subscription.
We will disclose material price or plan changes in advance of their application to renewal and provide an opportunity to cancel, as required by applicable law. Existing consumer rights are not waived by subscribing.
6. Billing problems and refunds
Contact support@sagathebard.com about an incorrect charge, unavailable paid service, or a refund request. We will investigate billing issues and provide refunds or other remedies required by applicable law. Canceling renewal does not itself submit a refund request. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer right. Any additional voluntary refund or trial terms will be disclosed before purchase.
7. Your content and music
You retain whatever rights you have in content you provide. You must have the rights and permissions needed for Saga to process that content and deliver results to the relevant channel. You authorize us and the service providers we use to process it as necessary to operate the requested features, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law; this is not a transfer of ownership of your campaign or personal information.
Recaps may contain contributions or personal information from several participants. Respect their rights when sharing a recap. You retain your rights in your campaign, characters, stories, and other original contributions. We do not claim ownership of them. AI-generated additions may resemble other outputs and may not independently qualify for copyright protection; this does not diminish your rights in your original material.
Access to Saga's music playback does not transfer ownership of a track or grant a blanket right to extract, redistribute, sell, publicly broadcast, or commercially reuse the music. Check the applicable track license and obtain any additional permission needed before using music outside Saga, including in a livestream or published recording. Contact support if you need licensing information.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Saga to break the law, violate others' privacy or intellectual-property rights, harass people, secretly monitor conversations, compromise accounts, bypass subscription or usage controls, or disrupt the service. Do not submit malicious content intended to make Saga expose private information or perform unauthorized actions. Report suspected security problems privately to support.
Fictional events in tabletop roleplaying are not, by themselves, prohibited real-world conduct.
9. Availability, restrictions, and ending access
We work to keep Saga usable, but do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free results. We may maintain, repair, or change features. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, misuse, a security problem, a legal requirement, or a material violation of these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact us about a mistake. Urgent issues may require action before notice.
If we discontinue a paid service or materially fail to provide it, applicable consumer remedies remain available. These terms do not permit us to retain payments contrary to applicable law. Ending access does not automatically erase copies of recaps held by other people or Discord; see the Privacy Policy for records under our control.
10. Responsibility and disputes
We are responsible for our service as required by applicable law. No part of these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer guarantees, or deprives you of courts or remedies you are legally entitled to use. We do not guarantee a particular creative result or the accuracy of automated output.
Please contact support@sagathebard.com first so we can try to resolve a problem. This request does not prevent you from pursuing available legal remedies or suspend any applicable deadline. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.
11. Updates and contact
We will identify the effective date of updates and give notice of material changes as appropriate and required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If you do not wish to continue under revised terms, stop using the service and cancel any renewal; applicable rights and remedies remain available.
